Container based technology

VLE is using newest Docker container orchestration  technology. In case of increased work load VLE has the capability to be scaled seamlessly and reliably.

User friendly design

The site employs the latest programming technologies, making it easier for teachers to provide teaching materials, and students with comfortable access to it.

Integration to VUSIS

VLE Moodle integration to VU Study Information System allows automatic updates about students, subjects and teachers.

E. technology in the study process

Maintaining study process quality that covers all together the content material of the subject, video recordings, knowledge assessment, let apply personalized study processes and collect feedbacks is a challenging task, which require a considerable amount of resources. Having a unified VLE system let us respond to all those challenges. The pandemic situation examined all of us and pushed the community of University to use digitized solutions, which are convenient for daily use for both our students and our professors while making a continuous improvement.

The use of VLE opens up new opportunities for professors to share their knowledge and encourage active discussions and view exchanges between students and professors in virtual reality. The benefits of virtual lecture recordings for students are welcomed even by distance learning skeptics as they can review the recordings many times, anytime, anywhere, and refresh their knowledge before the exam as well as get a recorded teacher’s answer to questions asked. The VLE undoubtedly develops the computer literacy for students and professors and lead them to acquire new education related creative skills.

During quarantine our work did not stop, but only gained another momentum. Students promptly posted their work on the Office 365 platform, and provided links in the Virtual Learning Environment of Vilnius University. Thus, we were all able to review everyone's work independently in advance, and then to analyze and create plans on how to adjust them.
